SSC CPO Recruitment 2026 Education Qualification
# SI in Delhi Police & CAPFs: Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from a recognized University. Candidates appearing in their final year may also apply if they obtain their degree on or before September 30, 2026.
# SI (Fire) in CISF: Bachelor’s Degree in Science (Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics) OR 3-year Diploma in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Automobiles, Chemical, Mining, Aeronautical, or Telecommunication Engineering.
# Driving License Mandatory for Delhi Police (Male Only): Valid LMV (Motorcycle and Car) driving license required during PE&MT.
SSC CPO Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Nationality: Candidates must be a Citizen of India, or a subject of Nepal/Bhutan.
Age Limit (As on 01.08.2026):
* General SI Posts: 20 to 25 years (Born between 02.08.2001 and 01.08.2006).
* SI (Fire) in CISF: 18 to 30 years (Born between 02.08.1996 and 01.08.2008).
* Age Relaxation: SC/ST: 5 years, OBC: 3 years, Ex-Servicemen: 3 years.

All posts carry a pay scale of Level-6 (₹35,400 – ₹1,12,400/-).
SSC CPO Recruitment 2026 Selection Process
1. Stage 1: Paper-1 (Computer-Based Examination)
* Type: Objective Multiple-Choice Test
* Total Marks: 200 marks (200 Questions)
* Duration: 2 hours (120 minutes)
* Sections:
* General Intelligence & Reasoning: 50 Questions (50 Marks)
* General Knowledge & General Awareness: 50 Questions (50 Marks)
* Quantitative Aptitude: 50 Questions (50 Marks)
* English Comprehension: 50 Questions (50 Marks)
* Negative Marking: 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer.
Stage 2: Physical Standards Test (PST) & Physical Endurance Test (PET)
*(Qualifying in nature; mandatory for appearing in Paper-2)
Physical Standard Test (PST):
* Male Candidates (General/OBC/SC): Height: 170 cm | Chest: 80 cm unexpanded / 85 cm expanded.
* Male Candidates (North East / Hilly Areas): Height: 165 cm | Chest: 80 cm unexpanded / 85 cm expanded.
* Male Candidates (ST): Height: 162.5 cm | Chest: 77 cm unexpanded / 82 cm expanded.
* Female Candidates (General/OBC/SC): Height: 157 cm.
* Female Candidates (North East / Hilly Areas): Height: 155 cm.
* Female Candidates (ST): Height: 154 cm.
Physical Endurance Test (PET):
* Male Candidates:
* 100-meter race in 16 seconds
* 1.6 km race in 6.5 minutes
* Long Jump: 3.65 meters (3 chances)
* High Jump: 1.2 meters (3 chances)
* Shot Put (16 lbs): 4.5 meters (3 chances)
* Female Candidates:
* 100-meter race in 18 seconds
* 800-meter race in 4 minutes
* Long Jump: 2.7 meters (3 chances)
* High Jump: 0.9 meters (3 chances)
Stage 3: Paper-2 (Computer-Based Examination)
* Subject: English Language & Comprehension
* Questions: 200 Questions
* Total Marks: 200 Marks
* Duration: 2 hours
* Negative Marking: 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
4: Detailed Medical Examination (DME) & Document Verification
* Medical Fitness: Assessment of medical condition, distant vision (6/6 and 6/9), color vision, and verification for physical issues like flat feet or knock knees.
* Document Verification: Verification of original educational certificates, category certificates, identity proof, and valid driving license (mandatory for Male SI in Delhi Police) during physical/medical stages.
* Medical Fitness: Assessment of medical condition, distant vision (6/6 and 6/9), color vision, and verification for physical issues like flat feet or knock knees.
* Document Verification: Verification of original educational certificates, category certificates, identity proof, and valid driving license (mandatory for Male SI in Delhi Police) during physical/medical stages.
Final Selection
The final merit list is prepared based on the aggregate marks scored by candidates in Paper-1 + Paper-2 (Total 400 Marks) plus any applicable bonus marks for NCC certificate holders. PST/PET and Medical rounds are qualifying prerequisites.
