Assam Veterinary Recruitment 2026 Education Qualification
* Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed full-time HSSLC (Class 12) Science stream with Biology as one of the subjects from a recognized Board/Council/University.
* Domicile: Must be an Indian citizen and a permanent resident of Assam (valid PRC required).
Assam Veterinary Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Nationality & Residency
* Candidate must be an Indian Citizen and a Permanent Resident of Assam.
* Proof of Domicile: Candidates must upload either a valid Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) issued in Assam for educational purposes OR a valid Employment Exchange Registration Certificate of Assam.
Age Limit (As of 01/01/2026)
* Minimum Age: 21 Years
* Maximum Age: 38 Years
Age Relaxation:
* SC / ST Candidates: 5 Years (Up to 43 years)
* OBC / MOBC Candidates: 3 Years (Up to 41 years)
* PwBD Candidates: 10 Years (Irrespective of UR/SC/ST/OBC category)
* Ex-Servicemen: Up to 50 years (50 years for UR, relaxed further by 3 years for OBC/MOBC and 5 years for SC/ST).

Assam Veterinary Recruitment 2026 Selection Process
Selection will be based on an OMR-based written test of 120 minutes (2 hours) duration carrying 100 marks (100 questions of Class 12 standard).
* Biology: 40 Marks
* Chemistry: 20 Marks
* Physics: 20 Marks
* General Awareness: 20 Marks.
# Note: Selected candidates will undergo a mandatory 1-year training at the School of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry, Ghungoor, Silchar (or extended campuses) before final appointment.
