Educational Qualification (As on 07-10-2026)
# For DEO / DEO Grade 'A' (in Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, SSC, and Ministry of Culture): Must have passed 12th Standard in the Science stream with Mathematics as a subject from a recognized Board or equivalent.
# For LDC / JSA and all other DEO posts: Passed 12th Standard or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University.
# Note: Candidates appearing in their 12th examination can also apply provided they acquire the qualification on or before October 7, 2026.

SSC CHSL Recruitment 2026 Selection Process
1. Tier-I Examination (CBE):
* Format: Objective type multiple-choice questions.
* Subjects: English Language, General Intelligence, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness (25 Questions / 50 Marks per subject; Total: 100 Questions, 200 Marks).
* Duration: 60 minutes.
* Negative Marking: 0.50 marks for each wrong answer.
2. Tier-II Examination (CBE):
* Section-I: Mathematical Abilities (30 Qs) & Reasoning/General Intelligence (30 Qs) – 180 Marks (1 Hour).
* Section-II: English Language & Comprehension (40 Qs) & General Awareness (20 Qs) – 180 Marks (1 Hour).
* Section-III: Computer Knowledge Test (15 Qs) – 45 Marks (15 Minutes, Qualifying in nature).
# Section-IV: Skill Test / Typing Test (Session-II on same day, Qualifying in nature).
# Negative Marking: 1 mark for each incorrect answer in Sections I, II, and III.
