The recruitment is divided into technical (Science) and non-technical fields:
# Science Subjects:
* Passed 10+2 / Intermediate or equivalent examination with Mathematics, Physics, and English from an approved board with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.
OR Passed a 3-year Diploma course in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Automobile, Computer Science, Instrumentation Technology, or Information Technology) with 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.
# Other Than Science Subjects:
* Passed 10+2 / Intermediate or equivalent in any stream or subjects with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.

As an Agniveervayu, your service spans a fixed four-year engagement term. You will receive a customized monthly package alongside a significant corpus contribution:

Getting selected requires clearing a rigorous multi-stage pipeline designed to test both your mind and your body:
1. Phase-I (Online Exam): Objective test with a negative marking penalty of 0.25 marks deducted per wrong response. Science streams face a 60-minute paper covering Physics, Math, and English, while other streams take a 45-minute paper on English and Reasoning & General Awareness (RAGA).
2. Phase-II (Physical Fitness Test): Features a 1.6 km run to be completed within 7 minutes for males and 8 minutes for females, accompanied by specific sets of push-ups, sit-ups, and squats.
3. Phase-III (Medical Examination): Thorough military physical testing including blood hemogram, biochemistry, urine analysis, and ECG.
