# Diploma Discipline: Must hold a 3-year AICTE-approved full-time regular Diploma in the relevant discipline:
* Chemical: Diploma in Chemical Engineering / Chemical Technology.
* Mechanical: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
* Electrical: Diploma in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics / Electrical Power System / Electrical (Industrial Control) Engineering.
# Minimum Marks:
* 60% aggregate marks for General, EWS, and OBC (NCL) candidates.
* 50% aggregate marks for SC, ST, and PwBD candidates (against reserved vacancies).
* Restriction on Higher Qualifications: Candidates possessing higher qualifications such as B.E., B.Tech., or A.M.I.E. are not eligible (even if acquired after the Diploma).
Work Experience (as on July 1, 2026)
# Minimum 1 year of post-qualification work experience OR 1 year of post-qualification apprenticeship training under the Apprenticeship Act, 1961 in a reputed Refining, Petroleum, Power, Lube, Petrochemical, Fertilizer, or Engineering industry.

Age Limit (as on July 1, 2026)
* Minimum Age: 18 Years
* Maximum Age: 25 Years (for General / EWS)
Upper Age Relaxation:
* OBC (NCL): +3 Years (Up to 28 years)
* SC / ST: +5 Years (Up to 30 years)
* PwBD: +10 Years (+13 for OBC-NCL, +15 for SC/ST)
* Ex-Servicemen: As per Government regulations (Max cumulative relaxation capped at 15 years).

Pay & Perks
* Pay Grade: Entry level NG-2 Grade.
* Basic Pay Scale: ₹26,500 – ₹34,000/-
* Benefits: Basic Pay + Industrial Pattern Dearness Allowance (IDA) + standard company allowances, medical facilities, and benefits as per corporate guidelines.
* Pay Protection: Pay protection for candidates joining through proper channel from other CPSUs/PSUs/Govt. bodies is applicable up to a maximum basic pay of ₹34,000.

The selection workflow consists of three stages:
Stage 1: Computer Based Test (CBT)
* Duration: 120 Minutes
* Total Questions: 100 Objective Multiple Choice Questions (1 mark each)
* Section A: Domain Knowledge (60 Marks)
* Section B: General Aptitude (40 Marks) — *English, Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, General Awareness & Current Affairs*
* Medium: English only
* Negative Marking: None (No negative marking for incorrect answers)
Stage 2: Skill / Proficiency Test (SPT)
* Conducted at the respective refinery location for CBT-shortlisted candidates.
* Nature: Qualifying in nature only.
Stage 3: Pre-Employment Medical Examination
* Medical fitness verification in according with BPCL norms.
