To apply for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

 * Nationality: Must be an Indian Citizen and a permanent resident of Assam.

 * Educational Qualification: Must possess a 3-year Diploma in Electrical Engineering from an institute recognized by AICTE. Distance mode education will not be considered.

 * Age Limit (as of 01-01-2026):

   * Minimum: 18 years.

   * Maximum: 40 years.

   * *Age relaxations apply: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC/MOBC, and 10 years for PwBD.

 1. Initial Screening

 * The Commission will first verify all submitted applications to ensure they meet the prescribed eligibility conditions regarding age, residency, and educational qualifications.

 * Applications that are incomplete or contain false information will be rejected immediately.

2. Selection Method (Written Test / Interview)

 * The specific selection procedure—whether it will be a Written Examination, a Screening Test, or a Viva-Voce (Interview)—will be notified by the APSC at a later date.

 * The Commission reserves the right to decide the selection method based on the total number of applications received for the post.

 * If a written or screening test is conducted, it will likely be organized zone-wise depending on the number of candidates in specific districts.

3. Examination Zones

If a physical test or examination is required, the Commission has designated several zones for the convenience of candidates:

 * Silchar: Covering Hailakandi, Karimganj, and Cachar.

 * Jorhat: Covering Golaghat, Dibrugarh, Jorhat, Majuli, Charaideo, Sivasagar, and Tinsukia.

 * Nagaon: Covering Dima Hasao, Hojai, Nagaon, Morigaon, Karbi Anglong, and West Karbi Anglong.

 * Tezpur: Covering Biswanath, Dhemaji, Lakhimpur, Sonitpur, and Udalguri.

 * Kokrajhar: Covering Bongaigaon, Chirang, Dhubri, Goalpara, Kokrajhar, and South Salmara.

 * Guwahati: Covering Barpeta, Baksa, Kamrup, Kamrup (Metro), Nalbari, Darrang, Bajali, and Tamulpur.

4. Final Document Verification

 * Candidates who pass the initial stages will be required to produce original documents and certificates for verification at the time of the interview.

 * Required documents include the HSLC Admit Card (for age proof), Diploma Certificates, Marksheets for all academic years, and the Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC).

 * Candidates must also submit a Small Family Norms Declaration (Form-A) during the application process.
