Section 1: Non-Technical Syllabus (Paper-I Only)

1. General Intelligence & Reasoning
 * Verbal & Non-Verbal Reasoning: Analogies, similarities, differences, space visualization, problem-solving, analysis, judgment, decision making, visual memory, discrimination, observation, and relationship concepts.
 * Arithmetical & Analytical: Arithmetical reasoning, verbal and figure classification, arithmetical number series, dealing with abstract ideas, symbols, and arithmetical computations.
2. General Awareness
 * Current Events: Everyday observations, current affairs, scientific developments, and national/international news.
 * General Knowledge: History, Culture, Geography, Economic Scene, General Polity, Indian Constitution, and Scientific Research (with special emphasis on India and neighboring countries).

Section 2: Technical Syllabus (Paper-I & Paper-II)

Part-A: Civil & Structural Engineering
 * Building Materials & Construction: Physical and chemical properties, classification, standard tests, and uses of timber, bricks, stones, cement, mortar, concrete, and paints.
 * Estimating, Costing & Valuation: Estimate types, rate analysis, bill of quantities, valuation methods, depreciation, and specifications.
 * Surveying: Principles, chain, compass, plane table, leveling, contouring, tachometry, curve setting, and advanced equipment.
 * Soil Mechanics & Geotechnical: Soil properties, Atterberg limits, grain size distribution, permeability, consolidation, shear strength, compaction, and bearing capacity.
 * Hydraulics & Fluid Mechanics: Fluid properties, hydrostatics, Bernoulli’s theorem, flow measurement, pipe flow, open channels, pumps, and turbines.
 * Irrigation & Environmental Engineering: Rainfall and runoff, crop water needs, canal systems, water purification, sewage treatment, and pollution control.
