IOCL Apprentice Recruitment 2026 Education Qualification
1. Trade Apprentice (ITI):
# Qualification: Regular full-time ITI in relevant trades (Fitter, Electrician, Instrument Mechanic, Machinist, Welder, Turner, Electronics Mechanic, etc.) recognized by NCVT/SCVT.
2. Technician Apprentice (Diploma):
# Qualification: 3-year regular full-time Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Chemical, Instrumentation, Electronics, etc.) from a recognized university/institute.
3. Graduate Apprentice:
# Qualification: Full-time regular degree in BA, B.Sc, B.Com, or BBA from a recognized university.
4. Trade Apprentice Data Entry Operator (DEO) / Retail Sales Associate:
# Qualification: Passed 12th Standard (Class XII) or equivalent from a recognized board.
IOCL Apprentice Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit & Relaxations
* Minimum Age: 18 Years
* Maximum Age: 24 Years (as on the cut-off date mentioned in the notification)
Upper Age Relaxation:
* OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 Years (up to 27 years)
* SC / ST: 5 Years (up to 29 years)
* PwBD Candidates: Up to 10–15 years as per Govt. guidelines
IOCL Apprentice Recruitment 2026 Salary & Pay Scale

| Trade Apprentices (ITI / 12th) | Paid as per statutory apprenticeship rules under the Apprentices Act, 1961/1973. |
| Technician & Graduate Apprentices | Paid partially through BOAT (via Direct Benefit Transfer - DBT), along with additional monthly allowances provided by IOCL. |
IOCL Apprentice Recruitment 2026 Selection Process
The selection for IOCL Apprenticeship is 100% Merit-Based:
1. Shortlisting based on Marks: Candidates are shortlisted based on the aggregate percentage secured in the prescribed qualifying examination (ITI / Diploma / Graduation / 12th).
2. Tie-Breaker Rules: In case of equal percentages, the older candidate is placed higher in rank.
3. Document Verification (DV): Shortlisted candidates are invited for verification of original documents.
4. Pre-Engagement Medical Fitness Examination: Candidates must meet the physical fitness guidelines prescribed by IOCL.

Candidates must complete a two-step registration process:
Step 1: Portal Registration (Mandatory)
# For ITI & Class 12th (DEO) Applicants: Register on the NAPS Portal and ensure your profile is 100% complete.
# For Diploma & Graduate Degree Applicants: Register on the NATS Portal and obtain your enrollment ID.
Step 2: Submit IOCL Application Form
1. Visit the official website: iocl.com/apprenticeships.
2. Select your respective region/refinery notification (e.g., Marketing Division or Refinery Unit).
3. Fill out the application / Microsoft Form link provided in the notification with your NAPS/NATS Registration ID.
