Assam Rifles Recruitment 2026 Education Qualification
# Warrant Officer (Cipher): Passed 10+2/Intermediate in Science with Physics, Math, and English AND ITI (minimum 2 years, NSQF Level 4+) or Degree in ICT, IT, Electronics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering.
# Rifleman (Electrical Fitter Signal / Lineman Field / Electrician Motor Vehicle / Engineer Equipment Mechanic / Instrument Mechanic): Class 10/Matriculation pass AND 2 years ITI or 2–3 years Diploma in respective technical discipline.
# Rifleman (Armourer / Metalsmith / Upholster / Vehicle Mechanic / Welder): Class 10/Matriculation pass AND ITI certificate in the relevant trade.
# Rifleman (Recovery Vehicle Mechanic): Class 10/Matriculation pass with 2 years ITI in Recovery Vehicle Mechanic and a valid Heavy Motor Vehicle (HMV) / Transport Vehicle Driving License (OR Class 10 with HMV license).
# Rifleman (Store Keeper Technical - EME): Class 10/Matriculation pass from a recognized Board.
# Warrant Officer (Draughtsman): 10+2 pass or equivalent AND 3 years Diploma in Architecture/Draughtsmanship from a recognized Polytechnic.
# Warrant Officer (Operation Theatre Technician): 10+2 pass AND 2 years Diploma in OT Technician AND minimum 1 year work experience in a recognized hospital (minimum 50 beds).
# Warrant Officer (Physiotherapist): 10+2 pass AND minimum 2 years Diploma in Physiotherapy AND 1 year work experience in a recognized hospital/center.
# Rifleman (Mason): 10th pass from a recognized board, trade test qualification, and an undertaking/self-certification of 1 year work experience in the trade.
Assam Rifles Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit (as on 1st July 2026)
* Cut-off Date: 01 July 2026
* General Age Range:
* Most Rifleman/Havildar Trades: 18 to 23 years
* Warrant Officer Trades (Cipher, Draughtsman, OT Technician, Physiotherapist): 18 to 25 years
Upper Age Relaxation:
* SC / ST: 5 years
* OBC: 3 years
* Ex-Servicemen: As per Central Govt rules (UR: 3 yrs, OBC: 6 yrs, SC/ST: 8 yrs after service deduction)
* Departmental Candidates: Relaxable up to 40 years for eligible serving personnel.

1. Document Verification & RFID Based PST/PET
2. Computer Based Test (CBT): 100 Marks (Passing Marks: 35% for UR/EWS, 33% for SC/ST/OBC)
3. Trade Skill Test: Qualifying nature (shortlisted in a 1:4 ratio based on CBT merit)
4. Detailed Medical Examination (DME) / Review Medical Examination (RME)
