APSC Recruitment 2026 Education Qualification
Educational Qualification
* Candidates must possess at least a Degree in Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science (B.V.Sc & A.H.) from any recognized University/Institution.
* Note: Mark sheets/Grade sheets of each semester/year reflecting the subjects and the final pass certificate must be uploaded during application.
APSC Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Nationality & Residency
* Candidate must be an Indian Citizen and a Permanent Resident of Assam.
* Proof of Domicile: Candidates must upload either a valid Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) issued in Assam for educational purposes OR a valid Employment Exchange Registration Certificate of Assam.
Age Limit (As of 01/01/2026)
* Minimum Age: 21 Years
* Maximum Age: 38 Years
Age Relaxation:
* SC / ST Candidates: 5 Years (Up to 43 years)
* OBC / MOBC Candidates: 3 Years (Up to 41 years)
* PwBD Candidates: 10 Years (Irrespective of UR/SC/ST/OBC category)
* Ex-Servicemen: Up to 50 years (50 years for UR, relaxed further by 3 years for OBC/MOBC and 5 years for SC/ST).
*Note: Age limit calculation is based on Class-X / Class-XII Examination Admit Card / Pass Certificate / Marksheet issued by a recognized Board/Council.
APSC Recruitment 2026 Salary & Pay Scale
* Pay Scale: Rs. 30,000/- to Rs. 1,10,000/-
* Grade Pay: Rs. 12,700/-
* Pay Band: PB - 4
* Plus other allowances as admissible to Assam State Government employees from time to time.
APSC Recruitment 2026 Selection Process
1. The selection procedure will be notified later through a corrigendum/addendum if required.
2. Depending on the number of applications received, the Commission will decide to conduct a Written Examination / Screening Test followed by a Personal Interview / VIVA-VOCE.
3. Examination Zones: The examination/test will be conducted zone-wise across the state:
* Silchar: Cachar, Hailakandi, Sribhumi
* Jorhat: Golaghat, Dibrugarh, Jorhat, Majuli, Charaideo, Sivasagar, Tinsukia
* Nagaon: Dima Hasao, Hojai, Nagaon, Morigaon, Karbi Anglong, West Karbi Anglong
* Tezpur: Biswanath, Dhemaji, Lakhimpur, Sonitpur, Udalguri
* Kokrajhar: Bongaigaon, Chirang, Dhubri, Goalpara, Kokrajhar, South Salmara
* Guwahati: Barpeta, Baksa, Kamrup, Kamrup (Metro), Nalbari, Darrang, Bajali, Tamulpur
