The selection process for the IOCL Digboi Refinery Apprenticeship is highly straightforward and transparent:

# Higher Qualifications Barred: Candidates holding higher professional qualifications like B.E. / B.Tech, MBA, MCA, CA, or LLB (or those pursuing them and finishing before training starts) are NOT eligible to apply.
# Awaiting Results: If you are still awaiting your final semester results or mark sheet on the date of eligibility calculation, you cannot apply.
# Prior Training or Experience: Candidates who have already undergone apprenticeship training anywhere else or possess job experience of 1 year or more after completing their qualification are ineligible.
