BOI Credit Officer 2026 Educational Qualification & Experience Requirements
1. Middle Management Grade Scale-II (MMGS-II)
* Minimum Qualification: A Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate (or equivalent CGPA).
* Professional Qualification (Mandatory): Candidates must possess any one of the following:
* MBA (Finance) / PGDBM / PGDM / Post Graduate Degree in Commerce/ Science / Economics.
* CA / ICWA / CS certification.
* Experience: Minimum 2 years of post-qualification work experience as an officer in Public Sector Banks, Private Sector Banks, or Foreign Banks in the area of Credit Appraisal/ Assessment/ Monitoring.
2. Middle Management Grade Scale-III (MMGS-III)
* Minimum Qualification: Graduation in any discipline with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate from a recognized University.
* Professional Qualification (Mandatory):
* MBA (Finance) / PGDBM / PGDM / Post Graduate Degree in Commerce/ Science / Economics.
* CA / ICWA / CS certification.
* Experience: Minimum 5 years of post-qualification work experience as an officer in Banking/ Financial Institutions, out of which a minimum of 3 years must be specifically in Credit Assessment/ Appraisal/ Corporate Credit/ MSME Credit processing.
3. Senior Management Grade Scale-IV (SMGS-IV)
* Minimum Qualification: Graduation in any discipline with a minimum of 60% marks.
* Professional Qualification (Mandatory):
* MBA (Finance) / PGDBM / PGDM / Post Graduate Degree in Commerce/ Science / Economics.
* CA / ICWA / CS certification.
* Experience: Minimum 8 years of post-qualification work experience as an officer in a Bank/ Financial Institution, with at least 5 years of core experience handling Large Corporate Credit/ Project Finance/ Credit Risk Management.
* Relaxation for Reserved Categories: Candidates belonging to SC / ST / OBC / PwBD categories are eligible for a 5% relaxation in the minimum marks required for graduation. This means they require a minimum of 55% marks instead of 60%.
* CGPA Conversion: Where CGPA / OGPA is awarded by the university, it must be converted into an equivalent percentage and indicated up to two decimal places in the online application.
* Strict Percentage Rounding: Fractional rounding is strictly prohibited by the Bank. For example, a score of 59.99% will be treated as less than 60%, and 54.99% will be treated as less than 55%.
* Cut-off Date: All educational degrees, certificates, and final results must have been officially declared on or before 01.06.2026.
