Educational Qualification
* Candidates must possess the prescribed educational or technical qualifications (such as ITI, Course Completed Act Apprenticeship, or Engineering Diploma/Degree as specific to the post parameters in Annexure A) on or before July 29, 2026.

Age Relaxation
Upper age relaxations apply for reserved communities as follows:
* SC & ST Candidates: 5 years
* OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) Candidates: 3 years
* PwBD Candidates: 10 to 15 years (depending on social category)

RRB Technician Recruitment 2026 Selection Process
Candidates must successfully clear three distinct stages to be empaneled:
1. Computer Based Test (CBT): A single-stage online examination conducted separately for Level 5 and Level 2 posts.
2. Document Verification (DV): Candidates are shortlisted for DV based on their marks and merit in the CBT.
3. Medical Examination (ME): Shortlisted candidates must pass the prescribed medical fitness standard (e.g., specific visual acuity standards) required for their allocated technician category.
Technician Grade I Signal (Pay Level 5)
This exam targets advanced technical topics alongside general subjects:
