Indian Navy Agniveer Education Qualification
Candidates must have passed the Matriculation Examination (10th) with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized Board of School Education.
Additionally, they must have completed a 3 years diploma course from an AICTE recognized Polytechnic Institute with 50% marks in aggregate in one of the following streams:
# Engineering Branch: Marine Engineering & Systems, Mechanical, Production/Automobile, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, Repair & Maintenance, Power Plant Engineering, Industrial/Production, Maintenance, Machine, Manufacturing Technology, Mechatronics, Metallurgy, Instrumentation, Electronics Instrumentation and Control Engineering.
# Electrical Branch: Electrical, Electronics, Electronics & Communication, Instrumentation Technology, Electronics, Electrical and Electronics, Electronics Instrumentation, Electronics Instrumentation and Control Engineering.
Indian Navy Agniveer Eligibility Criteria
# For 01/2027 Batch: Candidate should be born between 01 Dec 2004 to 31 May 2009 (Both dates inclusive).
# For 02/2027 Batch: Candidate should be born between 01 May 2005 to 31 Oct 2009 (Both dates inclusive).
Only unmarried male candidates are eligible. Candidates must sign an undertaking not to marry during their entire four-year tenure.

# Seva Nidhi Package: Cumulative balance of ₹5.02 Lakh contributed by the candidate will be matched equally by the Government of India, totaling approximately ₹10.04 Lakh (plus interest) paid upon exit.
# Insurance: Non-contributory Life Insurance Cover of ₹48 Lakh during the engagement period.
Indian Navy Agniveer Selection Process
The recruitment process consists of two primary stages:
Stage I: Indian Navy Entrance Test (INET)
* Format: Computer-based test containing 100 objective-type questions (1 mark each).
* Language: Bilingual (Hindi & English).
* Sections: Four sections — English & General Awareness, Science, Mathematics, and Diploma (Trade Specific).
* Duration: 1 hour.
* Negative Marking: 0.25 marks will be deducted for every incorrect answer.
* Examination Fee: ₹550/- + 18% GST (payable online during application).
Stage II: PFT, Written Exam, and Medicals
Candidates shortlisted from Stage I will move to Stage II, which is held at designated zonal centers:
1. Physical Fitness Test (PFT): Mandatory qualifying test.
* 1.6 Km Run: Must complete within 06 minutes 30 seconds.
* Squats (Uthak Baithak): 20 repetitions.
* Push-ups: 15 repetitions.
* Bent Knee Sit-ups: 15 repetitions.
2. Stage II Written Exam: Trade-specific objective paper lasting 1 hour.
3. Recruitment Medical Examination: Conducted by authorized military doctors to verify physical standards. Minimum height required is 157 cms.
