 * Education: A Graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized University/Institute. Crucial Note: Your graduation date should not be earlier than April 1, 2022 (it must be within the last 4 years).

Union Bank of India Apprentice Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria 

 # Age Requirement

 * Minimum: 20 years

 * Maximum: 28 years

 * Date of Birth Range: Candidates should generally be born between April 2, 1998, and April 1, 2006 (both days inclusive).

Age Relaxations:

The upper age limit is relaxed for reserved categories as per government norms:

 * SC/ST: 5 years (up to 33 years)

 * OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years (up to 31 years)

 * PwBD: 10 years

 * Ex-Servicemen: As per governmles.

# Language Proficiency

 * Regional Language: You must be proficient (able to read, write, speak, and understand) in the local language of the State/UT you are applying for.

 * Verification: A test of the local language will be conducted as part of the selection process. Candidates who provide evidence of having studied the local language in 10th or 12th standard may be exempted from this test.

# Physical & Medical Fitness

 * Selected candidates must be declared medically fit as per the Bank’s standard requirements.

Union Bank of India Apprentice Recruitment 2026 Selection Process 

The process consists of three main stages:

Stage 1: Online Written Examination

The first step is a computer-based objective test. It is designed to test your basic banking awareness and logical skills.

 * Duration: 60 Minutes (Composite time)

 * Medium: Bilingual (English and Hindi), except for the English language section.

 * Structure:

Stage 2: Test of Local Language

Since apprentices work directly in bank branches, the bank must ensure you can communicate with the local public.

 * Requirement: You must be proficient in the local language of the State/UT you applied for (reading, writing, speaking, and understanding).

 * Exemption: If you have a 10th or 12th-standard mark sheet/certificate showing that you studied the local language as one of your subjects, you are generally exempt from this test.

 * Evaluation: If you are not exempt, you will be required to pass a proficiency test conducted by the bank.

Stage 3: Medical Examination & Document Verification

Once you clear the merit list based on the written exam and language test, you will be called for the final formalities:

 1. Document Verification: You must produce original documents (Age proof, Graduation Degree, Caste Certificate, and NATS Registration) for verification.

 2. Medical Fitness: You must be declared medically fit according to the bank’s standards.

Final Selection

The final selection list is prepared based on State-wise and Category-wise merit.
