The Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences (SSUHS) has released an official educational notice regarding the GNM Entrance Examination 2026. SSUHS GNM Entrance Examination 2026 Details

The Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences (SSUHS) has officially announced the schedule and details for the GNM Entrance Examination (GNMEE) 2026. This entrance test is the gateway for admission into GNM Nursing courses in both Government and Private nursing institutes across Assam for the 2026-27 session

SSUHS GNM Entrance Examination 2026 Education Qualification 

* 10+2 passed with English, securing a minimum of 40% marks in aggregate and in English individually. (Science stream is preferred).

   * Candidates from State Open Schools (recognized by State Govt.) and NIOS are also eligible.

   * Registered ANM or 10+2 with English (40% marks) in Vocational ANM/Health Care Science streams are also eligible.

   * Relaxation: A 5% relaxation in qualifying marks is applicable for SC/ST candidates.

SSUHS GNM Entrance Examination 2026 Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the SSUHS GNM Entrance Exam 2026, candidates must fulfill the following conditions:

 * Nationality: Must be a citizen of India.

 * Residency: Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) is mandatory for admission into Government Institutes of Assam.

 * Age Limit: Minimum age must be 17 years as of 31st December 2026.

The exam will be held at major centers including Guwahati, Dibrugarh, Silchar, Jorhat, Barpeta, Tezpur, Diphu, Lakhimpur, Nagaon, Nalbari, Dhubri, and Kokrajhar.

 * Mode of Exam: Offline (OMR-Based)

 * Question Type: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)

 * Total Questions: 100

 * Total Marks: 100

 * Duration: 2 Hours (120 Minutes)

 * Medium: English and Assamese

 * Marking Scheme: +1 for every correct answer; No negative marking.

SSUHS GNM Entrance Detailed Syllabus (Class 10 Standard)  

1. English (50 Marks)

This section carries the highest weightage. Candidates should focus on grammar and vocabulary.

 * Grammar: Tenses, Active & Passive Voice, Direct & Indirect Narration, Prepositions, Subject-Verb Agreement.

 * Vocabulary: Synonyms & Antonyms, Phrases & Idioms, One-word Substitution.

 * Usage: Sentence Correction, Reading Comprehension, Spelling Tests.

 2. General Science (25 Marks)

Based on the NCERT/SEBA Class 10 Science curriculum.

 * Physics: Light (Reflection & Refraction), Human Eye and Colorful World, Electricity, Magnetic Effects of Current.

 * Chemistry: Chemical Reactions & Equations, Acids, Bases & Salts, Metals & Non-metals, Carbon & its Compounds, Periodic Classification.

 * Biology: Life Processes (Nutrition, Respiration, etc.), Control & Coordination, How do Organisms Reproduce?, Heredity and Evolution, Our Environment.

3. Mathematics (25 Marks)

Focus on foundational concepts from the Class 10 level.

 * Arithmetic: Real Numbers (HCF, LCM), Arithmetic Progressions.

 * Algebra: Polynomials, Pair of Linear Equations in Two Variables, Quadratic Equations.

 * Geometry: Triangles, Circles, Coordinate Geometry.

 * Trigonometry: Introduction to Trigonometry and its Applications.

 * Mensuration: Areas related to Circles, Surface Areas, and Volumes.

SSUHS GNM Entrance Application Fee

 #     Fee Amount:-  ₹1,500/- (Non-refundable).

 #     Exemption:-  PwD (Divyang) candidates with 40% or more disability are exempted from paying the examination fee.

 #     Payment Mode: Online through the University’s payment gateway.

Step 1: Scroll down, go to Important Web Links section.

Step 2: Click on One-Time Registration link .

Step 3: A new webpage will be opened.

Step 4: Enter your details as required in the portal; and register yourself.

Step 5: After registration, Click on Online Application Form and Login.
 
Step 6: Enter all credentials and upload your documents as required in the portal.

Step 7: Finally click on "Submit" and take print out of your submitted application.
