RBI Grade B Recruitment 2026 Education Qualification 

1. Officers in Grade 'B' (DR) - General

 * Bachelor’s Degree: A minimum of 60% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwBD) or an equivalent grade in any discipline.

 * OR Master’s Degree / Post-Graduate Diploma: A minimum of 55% marks (pass marks for SC/ST/PwBD) or an equivalent grade in any discipline.

 * Note: If you have a Doctorate degree from a recognized Indian or Foreign University, you are also eligible with at least 55% marks in your Master’s Degree.

2. Officers in Grade 'B' (DR) - DEPR (Dept. of Economic and Policy Research)

You must hold one of the following:

 * Master's Degree in Economics (including specialized branches like Agricultural/Business Economics, Econometrics, etc.) with a minimum of 55% marks.

 * PGDM/MBA Finance with a minimum of 55% marks.

 * Master’s Degree in Quantitative Economics, Mathematical Economics, or Financial Economics with 55% marks.

3. Officers in Grade 'B' (DR) - DSIM (Dept. of Statistics and Information Management)

You must hold one of the following:

 * Master's Degree in Statistics/Mathematical Statistics/Mathematical Economics/ Econometrics/Statistics & Informatics with a minimum of 55% marks.

 * Master's Degree in Mathematics with a minimum of 55% marks and a one-year Post Graduate Diploma in Statistics or related subjects.

 * M. Stat. Degree of Indian Statistical Institute with a minimum of 55% marks.

 * Post Graduate Diploma in Business Analytics (PGDBA) jointly offered by ISI Kolkata, IIT Kharagpur, and IIM Calcutta with a minimum of 55% marks.

Before applying, ensure you meet the following requirements:

 * Age Limit: 21 to 30 years (Born between April 2, 1996, and April 1, 2005). Upper age relaxations apply for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates.

 * Educational Qualification (General): A Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a minimum of 60% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwBD) or a Master’s degree with 55% marks.

 * Educational Qualification (DEPR/DSIM): Master's degree in Economics / Statistics / Finance or related fields with 55% aggregate marks.

RBI Grade B Recruitment 2026 Selection Process 

The selection process for RBI Grade B (DR) 2026 is conducted in three distinct stages. Candidates must clear each stage to progress to the next.

Stage I: Phase-I Online Examination (Objective Type)

This is a qualifying screening test. The marks obtained here are not added to the final merit list, but you must meet both sectional and overall cut-offs.

 * Duration: 120 Minutes

 * Total Marks: 200

 * Subjects Covered:

   1. General Awareness

   2. English Language

   3. Quantitative Aptitude

   4. Reasoning

 * Negative Marking: There is a penalty for wrong answers (1/4th of the marks assigned to that question).

Stage II: Phase-II Online Examination (Objective + Descriptive)

Candidates shortlisted from Phase-I will sit for this stage. This stage is crucial as these marks contribute to the final selection.

*For DEPR/DSIM specialists, Phase-II focuses on Economics and Statistics respectively rather than the General ESI/F&M papers.

Stage III: Phase-III Interview

Candidates are shortlisted for the interview based on the aggregate marks obtained in Phase-II (Papers I, II, and III).

 * Total Marks: 75

 * Mode: Face-to-face (or Video Conference).

 * Psychometric Test: Candidates may undergo a Psychometric Test before the interview. No marks are assigned to this test, but the results are presented to the Interview Panel.

 * Language Choice: You have the option to answer the interview in either Hindi or English.

Final Selection (Merit List)

The final merit list is prepared by adding:

 1. Total marks from Phase-II (300 marks)

 2. Total marks from the Interview (75 marks)

 * Final Ranking is out of 375 marks.
