ITBP Recruitment 2026 Education Qualification
To be eligible for the post of Assistant Commandant (Engineer) in ITBP, candidates must possess:
* Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University or Institution.

ITBP Recruitment 2026 Selection Process
The selection process is multi-staged and designed to test both the physical fitness and technical knowledge of the candidates. It typically consists of the following phases:
Phase I: Physical & Preliminary Tests
1. Document Verification: Candidates must produce original documents (Educational certificates, ID proof, Caste certificates) for verification.
2. Physical Standard Test (PST): Measurement of height, chest (for males), and weight to ensure they meet the minimum required standards.
3. Physical Efficiency Test (PET): This is qualifying in nature and usually includes:
* 100m Race: ( 16 seconds for males / 18 seconds for females).
* 800m Race: ( 3 mins 45 secs for males / 4 mins 49 secs for females).
* Long Jump & Shot Put.
4. Biometric Identification: Fingerprint and digital data collection.
Phase II: Written Examination
Candidates who clear Phase I will be called for a written exam. This typically consists of two papers:
* Paper I (Objective Type): Covers General Awareness, Reasoning, Numerical Aptitude, and General English (100 Marks).
* Paper II (Subjective/Descriptive): Focuses specifically on Civil Engineering topics (100 Marks).
Phase III: Interview & Personality Test
Candidates who qualify the written exam are shortlisted for the Interview board. This stage assesses:
* Technical knowledge in Civil Engineering.

Phase IV: Medical Examination
