Recruitment 2026 Education Qualification
1. Core Educational Requirement
* Degree: You must hold a Bachelor's Degree in any discipline (Arts, Science, Commerce, Engineering, etc.) from a recognized University or an equivalent institution recognized by the Government of India.
* Status: You must have completed your degree before the closing date of the online application. Candidates waiting for final results (where results are not yet declared) are generally not eligible to apply.
2. Language Proficiency
To be eligible for the Assam Civil Services, the commission requires:
* Speaking Proficiency: You should be able to speak Assamese or any other Official/Associate Official language of the state (such as Bengali or Bodo) or any of the Tribal languages of Assam.
* Communication: This requirement ensures that selected officers can effectively communicate with local communities during their administrative duties.
3. Mandetory Registration
* Employment Exchange: It is mandatory for you to be registered in a District Employment Office of Assam. You will likely need to provide your registration number during the online application process.

Approximate Monthly In-Hand Salary

APSC CCE Recruitment 2026 Selection Process
The selection process for the APSC Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) 2026 consists of three major stages. Candidates must clear each stage to move to the next.
Stage 1: Preliminary Examination (Objective Type)
The Prelims act as a screening test. The marks obtained here are not counted for the final merit list.
* Paper I: General Studies I
* Marks: 200
* Duration: 2 Hours
* Focus: Current Affairs, History, Geography, Indian Polity, Economy, and Assam-specific topics.
* Paper II: General Studies II (CSAT)
* Marks: 200
* Duration: 2 Hours
* Qualifying Nature: You must score at least 33% in this paper.
* Focus: Logical reasoning, analytical ability, basic numeracy, and English comprehension.
* Negative Marking: There is a penalty of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer.
Stage 2: Main Examination (Written/Descriptive Type)
Only candidates who qualify for the Prelims (usually 11 to 12 times the number of vacancies) are called for the Mains.
The Main Examination consists of 6 papers, each carrying 250 marks (Total: 1500 Marks). All papers are descriptive (essay/answer writing).

1. Preliminary Examination Syllabus
The Prelims consist of two objective-type papers.
