UPSC CAPF (AC) Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the Assistant Commandant position, you must meet the following:
* Nationality: Must be a citizen of India (Subjects of Nepal/Bhutan are also eligible under specific conditions).
* Gender: Both Male and Female candidates are eligible.
* Age Limit (as of August 1, 2026): * Minimum: 20 years
* Maximum: 25 years (Born between Aug 2, 2001, and Aug 1, 2006)
* Relaxations: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, and up to 5 years for Central Govt. Servants/Ex-servicemen.
* Educational Qualification: Must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in any stream from a recognized university. Candidates in their final year can also apply tentatively.
UPSC CAPF (AC) Recruitment 2026 Selection Process
The recruitment involves a rigorous three-stage process:
Written Examination (July 19, 2026):
* Paper I: General Ability and Intelligence (250 Marks, Objective/MCQ).
* Paper II: General Studies, Essay, and Comprehension (200 Marks, Descriptive).
Physical Standards/Efficiency Tests (PET) & Medical Standards Tests:
* Only for those who clear the written cutoff.
* Includes 100m/800m race, Long Jump, and Shot Put.
Interview/Personality Test (150 Marks):
* Conducted by the UPSC in New Delhi for candidates who pass the medicals.
