 * Residence: Candidates must be residents of the BTC area (Assam) and must have a valid registration in the Employment Exchange of Assam.

 * Age Limit: 18 to 40 years (as of Jan 1, 2026).

 * Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC/MOBC candidates.

   * Height (General): Male: 163 cm | Female: 150 cm

   * Height (ST-P): Male: 153 cm | Female: 145 cm

   * Chest (Male Only): 79 cm (Normal) | 84 cm (Expanded)

( BTC)  Forest Department Recruitment 2026 Selection Process

The recruitment will be conducted in three distinct stages:

* Physical Test: A walking test of 26 km (Male) and 16 km (Female) to be completed within 4 hours, followed by a medical exam.

* Written Test: A 3-hour objective-type OMR exam (100 marks). Note: There is no negative marking.

* Viva-Voce: Candidates who qualify the written exam will be called for an interview (20 marks).
