BSNL Senior Executive Trainee (SET) Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification:
For Telecom: B.E. / B.Tech degree (or equivalent) with at least 60% marks in Electronics & Telecommunication, Electronics, Computer Science, IT, Electrical, or Instrumentation.
For Finance: Must be a Chartered Accountant (CA) or Cost and Management Accountant (CMA).

Total Time to Promotion: 3 Years (2 years probation + 1 year active service).
Scale Shift: You move from the E-3 bracket to the E-4 bracket.
Pay Benefits: Promotion to E-4 usually includes a basic pay jump, increased Dearness Allowance (DA), and better HRA/perks associated with the AGM rank.
Note: The "Pre-revised" status suggests these figures are from an older wage revision (likely the 2nd PRC). In modern terms, the 3rd PRC equivalent for E-3 is usually ₹60,000 – ₹1,80,000, so your actual take-home pay today would be significantly higher than the numbers listed in the old scale.
BSNL Senior Executive Trainee (SET) Recruitment Selection Process
The selection is based on a Computer Based Test (CBT) consisting of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
Total Marks: 200
Duration: 180 Minutes (3 Hours)
Part-I (Aptitude): 40 Marks (Common for both streams)
Part-II (Technical): 160 Marks (Specific to Telecom or Finance)
Negative Marking: 0.25 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.
Training and Service Bond
Selected candidates will undergo 52 weeks (1 year) of training, which includes Managerial Training, Functional Training, and On-the-Job Training.
Service Bond: Candidates must sign a bond of Rs. 9 Lakhs to serve BSNL for at least 5 years.
