(SAI) Assistant Coach Recruitment 2026 Eligible

1. Diploma Route: A Diploma in Coaching from SAI NS-NIS, Patiala, or any other recognized Indian/Foreign University.

2. Sports Achievement Route: Participation in Olympics, Paralympics, Asian Games, or World Championships along with a Certificate Course in Coaching.

3. Awardee Route: Being a Dronacharya Awardee in the relevant discipline.

• Age Limit: Maximum 30 years as of February 1, 2026. (Age relaxation applies for SC/ST, OBC, and Ex-Servicemen as per Govt. norms).

(SAI) Assistant Coach Recruitment 2026 Selection Process

The selection is a rigorous two-stage process designed to find the best talent:

1. Computer-Based Test (CBT) - 40% Weightage: A 2-hour online test (100 marks) covering Sports Knowledge (65 marks), Sports Science (25 marks), and General Awareness/Reasoning (10 marks).

2. Coaching Ability Test (CAT) - 60% Weightage: Shortlisted candidates (1:3 ratio) will undergo a practical test to assess their coaching skills.
