1. Mandatory Attendance: Only candidates who actually appear for the Computer Based Test (CBT) are eligible for a refund of their examination fee.

2. Payment Mode: Fees must be paid ONLINE ONLY via internet banking, debit/credit cards, or UPI. No other mode of payment is accepted.

3. Bank Charges: All applicable service or bank charges for the transaction and refundprocess are to be borne by the candidate.

4. EBC Category Caution: Economically Backward Class (EBC) candidates are those with a family income of less than ₹ 50,000 per annum. This is different from OBC or EWS categories.

5. Minority Candidates: This category includes Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, Jains, and Zoroastrians (Parsis). They must provide an affidavit at the time of Document Verification to claim the fee waiver.

RRB Group D Recruitment 2026 Eligibility & Qualifications

Educational Requirement: Candidates must have completed the prescribed educational or technical qualifications (such as ITI or Course Completed Act Apprenticeship) from a recognized board or institute by the closing date, March 2, 2026.

Waitlisted Candidates: Please note that those still awaiting final results of their qualifying examinations are not eligible to apply.

Nationality: Open to citizens of India, Nepal, Bhutan, and certain other categories as specified in the notification.

RRB Group D Recruitment 2026 Selection Process

# The recruitment will be conducted through the following stages:

# Computer Based Test (CBT): A single-stage exam (though Railways reserves the right to hold multi-stage CBTs if needed).

# Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Required for candidates who qualify the CBT.

# Document Verification (DV) & Medical Examination: Final stages before empanelment.

# Note on CBT: There is negative marking. For every wrong answer, 1/3rd mark will be deducted.

RRB Group D Recruitment 2026 Important Date Computer Based Test

A Computer Based Test (CBT) will be held with duration of 90 minutes among all eligible candidates. The Questions will be of objective type with multiple choices. The basic structure of CBT is as follows.

Negative Marking: There will be negative marking and 1/3 marks shall be deducted for each wrong answer.

Cut-Off Marks: Minimum percentage of marks for shortlisting in various communities: UR-40%, EWS-40%, OBC (Non creamy layer)-30%, SC-30%, ST-30%. These percentage of marks for eligibility may be relaxed by 2 marks for PwBD candidates in case of shortage of PwBD candidates against vacancies reserved for them.

a. Mathematics

Number system, BODMAS, Decimals, Fractions, LCM, HCF, Ratio and Proportion,

Percentages, Mensuration, Time and Work, Time and Distance, Simple and Compound Interest, Profit and Loss, Algebra, Geometry and Trigonometry, Elementary Statistics, Square root, Age Calculations, Calendar & Clock, Pipes & Cistern etc.

b. General Intelligence and reasoning

Analogies, Alphabetical and Number Series, Coding and Decoding, Mathematical operations,

Relationships, Syllogism, Jumbling, Venn Diagram, Data Interpretation and Sufficiency,

Conclusions and Decision making, Similarities and Differences, Analytical Reasoning,

Classification, Directions, Statement – Arguments and Assumptions etc.

c. General Science

The syllabus under this shall cover Physics, Chemistry and Life Sciences of 10th standard level

(CBSE).

d. General Awareness on current affairs

in Science & Technology, Sports, Culture, Personalities,

Economics, Politics and any other subject of importance.
