The Indian Air Force (IAF) has officially released the notification for the Agniveervayu Intake 01/2027 under the Agnipath Scheme. This recruitment drive invites unmarried Indian male and female candidates to serve the nation for a period of four years
Eligibility Criteria of Indian Air Force Recruitment
To be eligible for the Agni veer Vayu 01/2027 intake, candidates must meet the following requirements:
Age Limit: Candidates must be born between January 1, 2006, and July 1, 2009 (both dates inclusive). The upper age limit at the time of enrolment must not exceed 21 years.
Marital Status: Only unmarried male and female candidates are eligible. Female candidates must also undertake not to become pregnant during the four-year engagement period.
Mandatory Medical Standards of Agni veer Vayu
candidates must be physically and mentally fit to perform duties in any climate or terrain worldwide.
Height: Minimum 152.5 cm for males and 152 cm for females (with relaxations for North East, hilly regions, and Lakshadweep).
Chest: For males, a minimum circumference of 77 cm with 5 cm expansion. For females, well-proportioned with 5 cm expansion.
Vision: 6/12 in each eye, correctable to 6/6. Candidates with a history of LASIK or PRK will not be accepted.
Dental. Should have healthy gums, good set of teeth and minimum 14 dental points. Dental Implants and Implant Supported Prosthesis will not be awarded any dental points. Candidates wearing fixed or removable orthodontic appliances will be declared unfit.
General Health. Candidate should be fit for the Air Force, must conform to the medical standards and should be of normal anatomy without loss or deformity of any appendages. He / She should be free from any active or latent, acute or chronic, medical or surgical disability or communicable disease, infection and skin ailments. Candidate shall be physically and mentally FIT to perform duty in any part of the world, in any climate and terrain.
Pregnancy (For female candidates). Any candidate, if found pregnant shall be disqualified and her candidature will be rejected

Physical Fitness Test (PFT) Air Force Agni veer Post
Names of the shortlisted candidates, who qualify the online test, shall be displayed on the CASB Web Portal https://iafrecruitment.edcil.co.in and on a stipulated date shall be called at designated ASC for Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and Adaptability Test-I & II. PFT consists of two parts i.e. PFT-I and PFT-II.
Physical Fitness Test (PFT-I): Running
Candidates must first complete the 1.6 km run within the specified time to qualify for the next stage of physical testing.

Exit Benefit: Seva Nidhi Package
Upon completion of the four-year engagement period, Agniveervayu will receive a one-time "Seva Nidhi" package.
Final Amount: Approximately ₹10.04 Lakhs > (This is the absolute amount excluding interest accrued over the four years.)
Allowances: In addition to the monthly package, Agniveervayu will receive risk and hardship, dress, and travel allowances as applicable.
Insurance: A non-contributory Life Insurance cover of ₹48 Lakhs is provided for the duration of the service.
Pension/Gratuity: There is no entitlement to gratuity or pensionary benefits under this scheme.

# Online Registration Starts: January 12, 2026, at 11:00 AM.

# Online Examination Dates: March 30 and March 31, 2026.
# Provisional Select List (PSL) Publication: November 14, 2026.
# Final Enrolment List Publication: December 1, 2026.
Examination Fee. Once the application is submitted, candidates automatically will be redirected to payment gateway through Net Banking/ Debit Cards/ Credit Cards/ UPI to deposit the non-refundable examination fee of ₹550/- plus 18% GST (non-refundable). Candidates are advised to verify the details and make the payment for application fee via different payment modes. Post successful payment of application fee, the application form gets auto submitted and candidate will be redirected to his/ her application form.

Instructions Regarding Scanning of Photograph, Signature and Left Thumb Impression.
Photograph Image.
Passport size recent colour photograph (taken not before one month from date of registration) of size 100 KB to 200 KB in .jpg or .jpeg format only (front portrait in light background without facemask and head gear except for Sikhs). The photograph is to be taken with candidate holding a black slate in front of his/ her chest with his/ her name and date of photograph taken, clearly written on it with white chalk in capital letters while looking straight at the camera with a relaxed face. Change in appearance like growing beard, head gear etc., in comparison to the photograph may result in cancellation of candidature for STAR online examination and Phase-II.
Candidate’s Signature Image.
Candidate has to sign on white paper with black ink pen and must be signed only by the candidate not by any other person. Scan the signature area only and not the entire page. Candidate’s signature image (Size 80 KB to 150 KB) in .jpg or .jpeg format only.
Candidate’s Parent’s Signature Image. Candidate’s parent’s (Father/ Mother)/ Guardian’s signature image properly scanned and properly uploaded at a specified place (if candidate is below 18 years on the date of filling the online application).
Left Thumb Impression Image. Left thumb impression must be of the candidate and not of any other person. Please scan the left thumb impression area only and not the entire page. Left hand thumb should be inked by placing on stamp pad and then place this inked thumb on plain blank paper. Impression of the thumb should be properly scanned and uploaded (Size 50 KB to 100 KB in .jpg or .jpeg format .
Candidate’s Live Image Capture.
Live image of the candidate will be captured during the online registration. The facial features of the candidate in the uploaded photo will be marked against the real time photo. Candidate will be able to submit the application, only in case of photo match. Candidate should be ready with web camera to capture and upload live image.
