• Pay Level: Level-06 (₹35,400 – ₹1,12,400)

• Total Emoluments: Approximately ₹72,240 per month (including HRA for Delhi).

• Upper Age Limit: 28 years (as of February 27, 2026). Age relaxation applies for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen as per GoI rules.

CSIR-NPL Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria

# For Engineering Disciplines: A Diploma in the relevant field (3 years full-time or 2 years for lateral entry) with at least 60% marks and 2 years of experience in the relevant area.

# For Science Disciplines (Physics/Chemistry/CS/IT): A B.Sc. in the relevant subject with at least 60% marks and 1 year of experience.

CSIR-NPL Recruitment 2026 Important Notes on Payment :-

#    Mode of Payment: The fee must be paid online through the link provided in the application         portal.

#    Non-Refundable: Once paid, the fee will not be refunded under any circumstances.

#    Proof of Payment: Make sure to keep a printout of the transaction receipt, as you will need        to attach it to the hard copy of your application form.

CSIR-NPL Recruitment 2026 Selection Process

Trade Test: Shortlisted candidates will first undergo a Trade Test, which is qualifying in nature.

Competitive Written Examination:

Those who pass the Trade Test will sit for a 3-hour OMR or Computer-Based test consisting of three papers:

Paper I: Mental Ability (Qualifying).

Paper II: General Awareness & English Language.

Paper III: Concerned Subject.

Final merit is based on marks obtained in Paper II and Paper III.

Step 3: A new webpage will be opened.
