Assam Police Recruitment General Eligibility Criteria
To apply for these posts, candidates must meet the following basic requirements:
Nationality: Must be an Indian Citizen and a permanent resident of Assam.
Employment Exchange: Mandatory registration in any Employment Exchange of Assam.
Language: Must be fluent in Assamese or any other state language.
Age Limit: Generally 18 to 40 years (as of Jan 1, 2026), with standard age relaxations for SC, ST, and OBC/MOBC candidates.

Mandatory Documents are to be uploaded with application:
(i) Latest passport size photograph. The maximum file size should be 450 KB (JPEG, JPG, PNG format only).
(ii) Digital photo of Signature. The signature must be done using black or dark blue ink on a white paper. The maximum file size should be 100 KB (JPEG, JPG, PNG format only).
(iii) Certificate of proof of age. (Admit Card/Certificate of H.S.L.C. or equivalent examination).
(iv) Certificate & Mark sheet of H.S.L.C. or equivalent examination for the posts of Tailor, Dresser, Craft Instructor & Craft Helper.
(v) Certificate & Mark sheet of H.S. or equivalent examination for the post of Yoga Instructor & Yoga Instructress.
(vi) Diploma of Tailoring from the Institute recognized by Govt. of Assam for Applicants who apply for the post of Tailor.
(vii) 02 (two) years experience certificate on Dresser (Medical) work from a Govt. recognized Institute for Applicants who apply for the post of Dresser.
(viii) Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM) form a Govt. Medical College for Applicants who apply for the posts of Nurse.
(ix) Certificate in Bamboo & Cane work/Tailoring /Weaving /Soap making from ITI or such other recognized Institute for Applicants who apply for the posts of Craft Instructor.
(x) 1 month Certificate in Carpentry from Industrial Training Institute or such other recognized Institute for the posts Craft Helper.
(xi) Diploma in Yoga from a recognized Institute for the posts of Yoga Instructor & Yoga Instructress.
(xii) Diploma in Pharmacy from a Govt. Medical College & Registration Certificate under Assam Pharmacy Council for the post Pharmacy.
(xiii) Employment Exchange Registration Card.
(xiv) Aadhaar Card.
(xv) Caste Certificate, if applicable, is acceptable only from the Competent Authority authorized by the Govt. of Assam.
CASTE CERTIFICATE ISSUED BY ANY OTHER AUTHORITY/STATES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

Selection Process of Assam Police Recruitment
The selection process is designed to test both physical fitness and technical proficiency:
